Moen Driveway & Pavers: The Jacksonville Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Moen-compatible driveway and paver components across Jacksonville, with most replacements running between $7,000 and $18,000 installed depending on square footage, substrate condition, and paver grade. Most homeowners discover the problem the hard way: a paver starts rocking underfoot, water pools where it never used to, or an edge row starts spreading into the lawn. By the time you’re researching parts, you’ve probably already kicked a loose paver back into place twice this month. That’s the point where the substrate has failed, not the paver itself, and no amount of resetting the top layer fixes what’s happening underneath.
Before we get into models and compatibility, let’s be clear about something that gets confusing fast: Moen doesn’t manufacture pavers or driveway materials. Moen makes faucets, showerheads, and plumbing fixtures. If you’re here because you have a Moen outdoor faucet or hose bib mounted near or on a paver driveway, or a Moen irrigation timer controlling the zone around your pavers, we stock those Moen parts too. But the pavers themselves come from manufacturers like Belgard and Unilock, which we also carry and install. We’re an independent Jacksonville contractor, not affiliated with Moen, and we’d rather tell you that straight than waste your time explaining model numbers for a product that doesn’t exist.
Which Moen Models This Applies To

If the failing component is a Moen outdoor fixture tied to your driveway or paver area, we can match it. The most common ones we see in Jacksonville are the Moen 5600 series hose bibs, the Moen 900-006 outdoor faucet, and the Moen Smart Irrigation Controller, which runs through the same app as their other smart home products. The compatibility gotcha with Moen outdoor fixtures is the connection thread: older Moen hose bibs use a 1/2-inch male pipe thread, while newer models in the 5600 line switched to a frost-free body with a 3/4-inch female inlet. If you’re replacing an older Moen hose bib near your driveway, don’t assume the plumbing stub matches. Measure the pipe diameter before you buy anything. It saves a second trip and a second service call.
For the pavers themselves, the real question isn’t model numbers. It’s paver depth. Driveway pavers need to be 60mm to 80mm thick. Patio pavers are 40mm to 50mm. We’ve watched homeowners buy pallets of 40mm pavers for a driveway project because they were cheaper per square foot, then wonder why the driveway heaved after one Jacksonville summer. The paver failed because it was never rated for vehicle load. Match the paver to the traffic it’ll carry.

Signs Your Moen Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Water pooling in new spots after rain. This means the drainage slope under the pavers has settled or the base material has washed out. In Jacksonville’s sandy soil, poor compaction shows up as low spots within the first two years.
- Pavers rocking or shifting underfoot. The bedding sand layer is failing. When you step on a paver and the opposite edge lifts, the sand beneath it has eroded. Resetting individual pavers doesn’t fix it because the erosion is systemic.
- Edge rows spreading outward. The edge restraint failed or was never installed. Without a solid edge restraint, the entire field of pavers migrates slowly toward the path of least resistance. You’ll see it first along the driveway’s outer edge, where pavers start drifting into the lawn.
- A Moen outdoor fixture leaking at the base. If it’s a hose bib, the washer inside the valve body has worn out. If it’s leaking at the wall connection, the pipe thread was cross-threaded or the sealant dried out. Either way, water near the foundation is the kind of fix that gets more expensive the longer it runs.
- Weeds growing through paver joints in dense patches. That means the polymeric sand between the pavers has broken down. When joint sand is gone, the pavers have nothing locking them together laterally. Weeds are just the visible symptom.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Paver driveway installation in Jacksonville runs $7,000 to $18,000. The low end covers a standard two-car driveway with basic concrete pavers on solid existing base material. The high end covers larger driveways, upgraded pavers like Belgard’s monolithic or permeable lines, deeper excavation, and repairing substrate that has failed. Concrete driveways run $4,500 to $12,000. Asphalt paving runs $3,500 to $9,000. A full driveway replacement, where we remove the old surface, haul it off, and rebuild from the subgrade up, runs $5,000 to $14,000.
What’s included in our number: the written scope, the material, the labor, the haul-off, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. What’s not included: surprise line items. Curtis Lane and the team at Bradford Remodeling Co Jacksonville put the price in writing before any work starts. If the number moves at the door, that’s a contractor you should have been suspicious of from the first handshake.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things yourself: whether a Moen hose bib is leaking from the handle (a packing nut that needs a quarter-turn) or from the spout (a washer that can be replaced with the water supply off). You can also check whether your pavers are the right thickness for the job, by pulling one at the edge and measuring it. What you shouldn’t do yourself is excavate and rebuild a paver base, or run new water lines to a Moen fixture, or replace a frost-free hose bib that’s buried in a wall. Get the water supply shutoff wrong and you’re looking at water inside the wall, not just outside it. If you’re not sure, call us at (904) 337-5929 and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a Saturday project or a service call.
FAQs

A properly installed paver driveway in Jacksonville lasts 25 to 35 years, but the failure point is almost never the paver itself. It’s the base. In our sandy soil, if the base isn’t compacted in lifts and the drainage slope isn’t set right, you’ll see movement within 18 to 24 months. The pavers will outlive the base if the base was rushed.
Yes, if the failure is localized: a low spot from a settled base, a broken edge restraint, or washed-out joint sand. Those are repairable without pulling the entire driveway. What can’t be repaired cost-effectively is widespread base failure, where pavers are shifting across multiple sections. At that point, patching individual spots just moves the problem around. Call us at (904) 337-5929 for a written assessment.
Most residential paver driveway replacements in Jacksonville take 3 to 7 days from demolition to final joint sand, depending on size and weather. Excavation and base compaction take the longest, and we won’t pour or set anything on a base that hasn’t been compacted properly. Rain can add days, and Jacksonville rain doesn’t check the schedule.
We keep common Moen outdoor fixture parts on the truck: hose bib washers, packing nuts, vacuum breakers, and the 5600 series replacement stems. For Moen Smart Irrigation Controllers or less common series, we order directly and usually have them within a few days. We also stock KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone materials for the jobs that run alongside your driveway project.
