Silestone Fence Installation: The Jacksonville Owner’s Guide

Silestone fence installation in Jacksonville typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 depending on the panel type, linear footage, and whether we’re dealing with a fresh install or a repair on a failed section. We stock Silestone-compatible fence materials and can usually get a crew out within a week of your written estimate. Most homeowners discover they need this work after a storm rolls through off the Atlantic and takes a panel or two with it, or after years of Florida humidity have quietly rotted the posts below ground level.

Silestone isn’t actually a fencing material. It’s a quartz surface brand owned by Cosentino, known for countertops and cladding. If you’ve got a Silestone fence, you’re most likely looking at Silestone quartz panels used as decorative or privacy inserts within a metal or wood fence frame. That’s a specific installation that most fence crews won’t touch, because it requires working with quartz panel weights, precise channel fitting, and a substrate that can handle a material that doesn’t flex. We do it regularly across Jacksonville, from Mandarin to Riverside to the Beaches.

Here’s what you need to know before you spend a dollar:

  • Price is written before work starts. No re-pricing at the door, no change orders unless you change the scope.
  • The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every Silestone fence job. If the work fails within a year, we return and correct it at no charge.
  • Silestone panels are heavy. A single 3cm panel can weigh over 14 pounds per square foot. The fence frame has to be built for that load, and most off-the-shelf fence posts aren’t.

Which Silestone Models This Applies To

Silestone produces quartz slabs in two standard thicknesses for vertical applications: 2cm and 3cm. For fence inserts and privacy panels, the 2cm material is the workhorse in Jacksonville because it keeps the weight manageable while still giving you the color consistency and weather resistance quartz is known for. The 3cm slabs show up occasionally in gate applications or short accent walls where the extra mass is an asset.

Model compatibility comes down to the slab series, not a part number. Silestone runs several color series, including the Eternal series, the Loft series, and the Sunlit Days collection, and the fence panel you have was almost certainly cut from one of those standard slab formats. When you call us, we’ll ask you to check the backside of a panel or the bottom edge for the printed slab identifier. If it’s worn off, we match by color and finish, and we’ll bring physical samples to your site before any cutting happens.

Aftermarket quartz panels exist, but we don’t recommend them for exterior fences. The resin content is often higher than Silestone’s published specs, and Jacksonville’s UV exposure will yellow a bargain panel within two summers. Silestone panels, when properly installed with sealed edges, hold color far longer. Since Bradford Remodeling is an independent contractor and not affiliated with Silestone, our recommendation isn’t tied to a brand deal. It’s tied to what we’ve watched fail and what holds up.

Signs Your Silestone Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Panels are shifting or rattling in the frame. This usually means the channel gaskets or setting blocks have compressed or degraded. Quartz doesn’t warp, so movement is almost always a hardware or frame issue, not the panel itself.
  • Hairline cracks running from a corner or edge. Silestone is tough, but it doesn’t love point loads. If a panel was seated directly against a bolt head or a rough metal edge, vibration and thermal expansion will eventually start a crack.
  • Posts are leaning or the frame is out of square. In Jacksonville’s sandy soil and high water table, a post set in plain concrete can heave or sink. When the frame moves, the quartz panels get pinched, and cracking follows.
  • White or chalky residue on panel edges. That’s efflorescence from moisture wicking through the fence’s substrate or footer. It doesn’t damage quartz, but it tells you water is getting where it shouldn’t be.
  • Panels have dropped or the bottom edge is touching the ground. Quartz sitting in standing water or damp soil will eventually absorb moisture at unsealed edges and show dark staining. This is the most common Jacksonville-specific failure we see after a wet season.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

An open kitchen and dining area after a remodel

Installed Silestone fence replacement in Jacksonville runs $3,500 to $9,000. On the low end, you’re replacing a short run of panels in an existing, structurally sound frame. At the top of that range, you’re rebuilding the fence substrate, setting new posts to proper depth, and installing full-height Silestone panels with new aluminum channel and gaskets.

What drives the number:

  • Linear footage and panel count. Silestone panels are cut to size, which means slab cost, cutting labor, and edge fabrication scale with your run length.
  • Frame condition. If the existing posts and rails are solid, we reuse them. If they’re rotted, leaning, or undersized for quartz weight, the frame rebuild adds to the scope.
  • Access. Fence lines with tight clearance, dense landscaping, or HOA restrictions on equipment access take longer and cost more to work.
  • Panel thickness and finish. 3cm material adds weight and cost compared to 2cm. Polished edges, mitered corners, or custom cutouts for gate hardware all move the price.

Every quote includes the Silestone panels, fabrication, delivery, installation, hardware, and our written workmanship warranty. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is in writing before the job starts, and you’ll have a signed copy in your hand when we close out the site.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things yourself: whether panels are sitting evenly in their channels, whether you see visible cracks, and whether posts are plumb. What you shouldn’t do is attempt to remove or reset a Silestone panel on your own. A 2cm quartz panel for a typical fence section weighs between 80 and 150 pounds, and when one drops, it doesn’t land soft. We’ve also seen plenty of cracked panels from homeowners trying to shim a panel back into place with a pry bar.

If the frame is solid and a single panel shows edge staining, we can often pull it, re-seal the edges, and reset it the same visit. If the frame has shifted or the posts are moving, that’s a rebuild, not a patch. Call us at (904) 337-5929 and we’ll walk you through what we need to know, then get you a written estimate.
